Palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy…

Almost falling downstairs? Almost breaking my neck? The inability to pick up my arms ala John McCain (is that in poor taste?) Dying at least three times in a 45 minute period?

Must mean I’ve started kickboxing again!! I can’t begin to tell you how much I’ve missed the stress relieving quality of it all. …the exercise aspect is pretty good too, I guess.

I’m not sure who ever thought it was a great idea to go to a nine o’clock kickboxing class after closing at work last night, but four hours sure doesn’t seem like enough sleep to be up and physically active. Luckily, DMX got me all, ‘X Gon’ Give it to Ya’…

It’s been just about four months since my last kickboxing class, which means it’s been just about four months since I’ve done any sort of exercising. I seem to have forgotten this. My instructors were all, ‘Pace Yourself, it’s your first day back!’ and I was all, ‘I don’t know how!’ Because apparently I only have one mode, and that’s straight BEAST.

I took a nap after I came home and I think my brain conveniently forgot that my muscles died today and I keep jumping up out of bed and end up on the ground… I don’t know what that says about me, that it’s happened multiple times, but memory never has been my strong point.

I’m currently disgruntled at my fellow apartment building goers. I finally got up the courage to get my laundry basket and make an attempt at the death trap that are the stairs, and when I get down there there was only one machine open. Any other day they would have all been empty, but now I have to risk breaking my neck four times instead of the three I would have only had to do if I could have done both loads at the same time. …the sheer insensitivity of these people!

Regardless, I regret nothing because it feels good to hit things again and I haven’t had to deal with the muscle soreness yet, just the intermittent muscle failure…
